ABOUT ME

I grew up surfing in San Diego and now currently live in the awesome city of Portland. My interest in programming began while I was working for a startup in the Bay Area and after trying to learn through various blogs and tutorials, I realized I craved a collabrative environment with peers that I could lean on for support. This motivated me to enroll in Epicodus code school and I loved every second of it. I'm happy, motivated, and extremely excited to code.

I genuinely love both front and back end programming and strive to consistantly write clean, elegant, and maintainable code. I'm currently teaching myself React and find it to be a fantastic and fun library to work with. Some of the things I've been enjoying reserching in my free time are blockchain tech, new ES2017 features, and foundational computer science concepts.

Bike Index

I built this app that uses the BikeIndex API and Google Maps API to allow a user to input a city and find all the stolen bikes for that area. The user can click on a bike in the master list to see specific details and the location it was stolen from on the map.

Six Degrees of Nicolas Cage

This is an application built with Ruby and Sinatra that uses ActiveRecord to track movies and actors through a many-to-many relationship. It uses an API call to seed a local database. The user can enter two actors names and see the how many degrees of distance before they intersect.

This is an E-commerce site that allows users to add items to their shopping cart and checkout and pay via Stripe API. It includes user authentication and an admin dashboard.

Type Test

This web application is a typing test for programmers that tests their keyboarding skills. You can create a new player, select a language to practice, and get your score for characters per minute and which keys you missed. It also uses the D3 Javascript library to generate fun graphics based on correct/incorrect keystrokes.

Super Marios Speciality Foods

This is a web application built in Rails that shows the current product inventory of Super Mario's Speciality Food store. Users can enter new products, leave reviews/ratings on specific products. Each product will display individually on it's own page and has CRUD functionality. Database scopes include top 3 highest rated products, average rating for each product, and product with most reviews.
